Three persons were killed due to tunnel collapse in western Rafah at around 12:10pm on Saturday, 25 October 2008. Egyptian civil defense crews extracted their bodies on the border line. They were transferred through Rafah Terminal at around 17:00 on the same day. They were identified as Akram Fayez Madi, 22, Issam Hasanien Annajar, 20, and Sameh Muhammad Abu Sorour, 20, of Rafah governorate.
