At approximately 10:00 pm on Friday, 17 April 2015, unknown people detonated an explosive device near Abu Mazen square west of Gaza City. No injuries or casualties were reported. The police opened an investigation in the incident. The identity of the perpetrators and motivations behind this incident remain unknown.
